All Over the Map: Indangamirwa Vancouver
Discover dance traditions from Rwanda and Burundi with Indangamirwa Vancouver and guests artists Muco w’abarundi and Ezra Kwizera. Presented by New Works under the summer sun on Granville Island.

Coal Harbour Music Festival
PAL Vancouver’s summer music fest kicks off this week with a free concert in Coal Harbour Park featuring Brazilian-born guitarist/singer/percussionist Celso Machado. Vancouver Outsider Arts Festival
Artists facing social exclusion and other barriers get a spotlight to shine at this year’s event, presented by the Community Arts Council of Vancouver at the Roundhouse. Check the itinerary for a full timeline of free events, including musical performances, silks, poetry readings, workshops and more!

Crash Test Dummies at the Port Theatre
Buckle up as the Crash Test Dummies take the stage at Nanaimo’s Port Theatre to celebrate their 25th anniversary. The show will feature a full performance of the band’s album, “God Shuffled His Feet.” No word on if airbags have been installed in the seat backs so be safe, patrons.

Pecha Kucha Vol 23 - The Pride Edition
Ten presenters from a range of fields share their interesting projects, inspirations and passions. Presenters get 20 images, 20 seconds each, making for a 6 minute and 40 second shot of ideas and inspiration. This version kicks off New West Pride, with the majority of proceeds going to that organization.
