Arts Coalition BC is a network of 21 provincial arts service organizations, working together to strengthen our sector across British Columbia.

Arts Coalition BC is a non-partisan network of the province's arts service organizations, representing a combined membership of over 1,500 community arts societies, creative industry groups, museums, galleries, artist collectives and performing arts companies.

Collectively, the Coalition and its member organizations work on behalf of a vibrant population of artists and cultural workers which Statistics Canada counts at over 100,000 across British Columbia. Cultural workers in our province make up 3.7% of our workforce - a greater proportion than the national average. BC has one of the highest provincial rates of attendance and participation in culture by population, and we have the second-highest level of consumer spending on culture. Our sector engages with volunteers, audiences, donors, tourists and businesses, generating positive economic and social impact in every region of the province.

The Coalition's objective is to increase awareness of the role and impact of arts and culture in BC and to bring a unified voice to provincial issues affecting the sector.

We know that arts and culture develop healthy communities, and we are united in the belief that the sector can make an even greater contribution to the provincial economy with increased investment in arts and culture.
