Shaun Dacey Appointed Director of Richmond Art Gallery

The City of Richmond and the board of the Richmond Art Gallery Association have appointed Shaun Dacey as the new director of the Richmond Art Gallery, effective October 24, 2016. 

Most recently Dacey was curator of the Contemporary Art Gallery in Vancouver, where he worked as curator since 2013. He was responsible for a diverse programs of exhibitions, education and off-site projects with particular focus on the residencies and outreach with artists based at the CAG's Burrard Marina Field House Studio. His previous positions include director/curator of Access Gallery, public programmer at the Burnaby Art Gallery, and youth programmes coordinator at Oakville Galleries. Dacey holds a master's degree in critical and curatorial studies from the University of British Columbia. 

Dacey replaces Rachel Rosenfield Lafo, who is moving back to Portland, Oregon.
