On April 2-3 in Burnaby, the BC Touring Council is offering the "On the Road 2.0" Touring Workshop for young, aspiring emerging performers, agents, managers and administrators. Join the team from BC Touring Council for an informative, interactive two days of presentations, panels and one-on-one opportunities where you’ll gain valuable skills to take your show on the road.

Over two full days, the workshop will delve deeper into topics including different touring markets, working with presenters and promoters, business and financial management, showcasing and attending Contact and Industry events, contracts and riders, marketing, social media, tour management, and much more. Participants are also invited to submit an application to be chosen to perform at a five-minute showcase session and receive constructive feedback from the trainers.

Registration is $57.75 (including GST), and includes membership to BCTC for one year. Lunch is provided on both days, as well as breakfast on the second day. Participants will also have opportunities to meet with trainers to ask questions and to attend a Tour Talk session focused on various topics such as funding, performing at festivals and working with agents and managers.

Deadline and Registration

The registration deadline is March 27. Click here or check out the workshop’s Facebook event.
