Evergreen Cultural Centre Appoints New Executive Director

Coquitlam’s Evergreen Cultural Centre has announced appointment of Philip Hartwick as its new Executive Director. Hartwick joins the Centre from his previous position as the Business Manager of The ACT Arts Centre in Maple Ridge, where he worked for fourteen years. He officially started his new role at the Centre on April 6, 2020 and is now tasked with taking on an important role during an unprecedented time for arts and culture organizations.

Originally from Ontario, Philip’s career has been focused in the arts on both local and international levels, contributing to the production of new Canadian works to the presentation of world-renowned artists. He is also a strong supporter of community organizations and has served in several volunteer capacities, including three years as Treasurer of Garden Court Housing Cooperative in Coquitlam, five years as the President of the Downtown Maple Ridge Business Improvement Association, and has also acted as a Community Arts Advisor and grant program juror for the BC Arts Council.
