Hill Strategies Arts Research Monitor Highlights Pandemic Recovery

In Issue #183 (March 2022), The arts and post-pandemic transformations: Societal changes, artists, and the arts, Hill Strategies’ Arts Research Monitor gathers four recent articles that offer interesting perspectives and visions of the role of artists and the arts in a post-pandemic future where the goal is to “build back better”. Common themes include: a desire for radical transformation in the arts; significant improvements in equity and justice within the sector; a need to better connect and embed artists (and the arts more broadly) with other societal issues; and an increased focus on artistic processes rather than products.

Among the reports: the BC Alliance’s own Everyday Creativity & COVID-19 in BC, which examines the ways in which BC residents turned to creative activities during the COVID-19 pandemic. Thanks to Hill Strategies for helping us spread the word about these important findings!

Hill Strategies also released a recent report detailing findings from Arts Insights Canada.
