Summer Studio Apprenticeship at Electric Maple Tree

Position: Studio Apprenticeship
Company: Electric Maple Tree
Location: Mission, BC
Duration: June 1st - August 31st, 2024
Type: In-person
Hours: Two days a week, 6 hours per day
Compensation: $25.40 per hour.

Position Overview: Electric Maple Tree is looking for a summer apprentice to join our studio team. This is a unique opportunity to work closely with experienced industry professionals. As an apprentice, you will gain hands-on experience in various aspects of studio operations, including equipment setup, recording sessions, client relations, and studio management. If you're passionate about the music industry and eager to learn, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities:

Assist with studio operations, including equipment setup, cable management, and studio organization.
Support recording sessions by helping with microphone placement, gear setup, and troubleshooting.
Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth recording sessions and excellent client experiences.
Contribute to studio cleanliness, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for artists and clients.
Participate in creative brainstorming sessions and offer fresh perspectives on projects.
Assist with social media and online presence development, helping EMT reach a broader audience.

Qualifications:

A passion for music and a strong desire to pursue a career in BC's music industry.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Basic knowledge of recording equipment and software is a plus but not required.

Ability to work two days a week, 6 hours per day, from June 1st to August 31st, 2024.
Must be willing to commute to the studio in Mission, BC (public transit is limited, so personal transportation is recommended).
