Job Description:

Your day as an event crew is completely based on the event. Focus of this role will be to provide assistance with delivery, set-up, and strike of events. You may also be available to be an additional support in the warehouse to help prepping for coming events.

Because of the nature of the event industry and how we roll, this role is casual. The position gives you a room to find hours that align with your personal and/or other work schedule, to fill your ordinary days with some sprinkles. You will work with the event leads, following their instructions to successfully bring the creative visions to real life. You also have other crew members to help each other and make the best out of it, or event to connect for each other's growth.

This position is heavy on hands-on experience, physically demanding labour and team work. If you're coming from the stage background or film, you may enjoy what we create together! But we surely love all backgrounds. If you're looking for a place to grow and get more experience towards the event industry, that is undoubtably great as well.

Responsibilities: -Be punctual
-Take directions from the Event Leads
-Unload and load trucks of boxes, bins, objects, and furniture
-Use moving equipment accurate and safely (rolling boards, pallet jacks, etc.)
-Assemble pipe and drape
-Set up and/or assemble other event décor and props with details
-Carefully unpack and repack fragile décor and props

Qualifications:

-Lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted
-Travel up and down stairs unassisted, sometimes carrying objects
-Able to push and pull large, heavy items with the use of moving equipments
-Be on your feet for long periods
-Ability to move while carrying items in restricted spaces

Other assets are:
-Sense of humour
-Strong detailing/ delicate skills
-Be independent yet team player
-Design experience or related
-Previous event and/or stage crew experience
-Experience with professional draping

Remuneration:

The pay rate is $25 per hour with 4-hour minimum pay guarantee per shift.
