Job Description:
Reporting to the Theatre’s Production & Facilities Manager, the Employee’s duties as Tour Technical Director are the following:
Overseeing the loading and unloading of the tour truck
Transporting the tour truck to and from each tour venue
Supervising the correct installation of the set and lighting equipment
Ensuring efficient technical rehearsals in conjunction with the Stage Manager
Ensure all stage structures and equipment are safe for actors and crew to use.
Overseeing a calm and respectable workplace environment in accordance with ActSafe guidelines

SYNOPSIS
E.B. White’s beloved classic Stuart Little scurries onto the stage in this heartwarming and hilarious adaptation by Joseph Robinette—now with a fresh twist by director Jennica Grienke! Packed with original songs, toe-tapping dance numbers, and old-school theatre magic, this production invites audiences of all ages on a wildly imaginative journey. With multi-sized props that playfully shift scale, we’re whisked into Stuart’s tiny world where a mouse with a mighty spirit proves that being small doesn’t mean you can’t do big things. Brimming with adventure, laughs, and moments that tug at the heart, this whimsical staging is a joyful celebration of resilience, friendship, and finding your place in a great big world. Don’t miss the chance to fall in love with Stuart all over again!

Runtime: 60 minutes with no intermission | Ages: 4+
Set Information:
The set consists of three risers,10’x16’ paper backdrop (depicting New York City in the 1940s) and many oversized household objects (approximately 16 freestanding set pieces) that are used to create Stuart Little’s world. The set also includes several pieces of lino that are scattered around the stage and taped down using vinyl marley tape.

Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years experience as a Technical Director or equivalent
Experience in the following areas: carpentry + scenic construction, basic rigging and stage mechanics
Class 5 driver’s license required
Comfortable driving a 22ft truck
Previous touring experience
Strong leadership and organizational skills
Experience with lighting and sound equipment is an asset
Ability to comprehend drafting ground plans and lighting plots
