We are a busy community-based pottery studio located in the heart of Vancouver’s False Creek. Our studio has been a part of the local community for over 20yrs, offering instruction and maintaining a large, committed membership base.

Job Description:

At this time, we are looking for a committed and experienced individual for a full-time, 40hr/week manager/studio tech position. This is a blended position entailing aspects of pottery technician work, managerial tasks and general studio management.

Responsibilities:

Technical work will include loading and unloading kilns, assisting with kiln and studio equipment maintenance, glaze mixing/preparation, clay recycling, etc. Managerial responsibilities will include general administrative work, providing support to studio members during open studio hours, scheduling, organizing studio space, inventory, equipment/supply orders and overall studio upkeep.

Qualifications:

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and an ability to foster a positive, welcoming, and supportive culture. Ability to work well with others, strong organizational skills, ability to work independently but to also take direction from directors. Minimum 2 years of pottery studio experience, sound technical knowledge of pottery including equipment and techniques. Pottery Instruction experience is an asset.

Remuneration:

Wage dependent on experience $22 - $30hr.
