Job Description:

Applications are now being accepted for a seasonal contract K-POP Dance Instructor for Arts
Programs at the Richmond Cultural Centre.

Fall 2026 – Mandatory availability on Fridays and Saturdays.
Seasonal, continuous programming with opportunities for additional hours based on instructor and studio availability.

Responsibilities:

Plan and facilitate engaging, developmentally appropriate K-Pop dance classes that are inspiring, accessible and adaptable to a range of participants.

  • Teach K-Pop choreography and dance techniques in a clear, engaging and supportive manner.

  • Provide a safe, positive and well-managed learning environment.

  • Communicate with parents/guardians, participants and staff in an effective and respectful manner

  • Maintain the safety of the participants in the classes.

  • Ensure classroom administration procedures are followed.

  • Ensure appropriate set-up, take down and maintenance of program space.

  • Contribute to and uphold the Arts Program’s reputation for consistent high-quality arts education.

Qualifications:

Post secondary degree or diploma in Dance, Performing Arts and/or an equivalent combination of education and teaching experience within an arts education setting.

  • Strong knowledge of K-Pop choreography, movement and performance styles

  • Proven ability to develop lesson plans, manage a classroom and deliver programs.

  • Experience working within a collaborative arts environment and shared studio space.

  • Excellent supervisory and organizational skills.

  • Must successfully clear a Police Information Check.

Remuneration:

$35-40 per hour based on qualifications and experience.
