Insights from the Value of Presenting: A Study of Arts Presentation in Canada

Performing arts presenters are invited to attend a short presentation and roundtable discussion with Inga Petri of Strategic Moves, the lead consultant of this pan Canadian study, Value of Presenting, spearheaded by CAPACOA. This project will conclude at the end of November and this is the first time a face-to-face meeting has been organized with performing arts presenters in BC. Please attend and contribute your feedback to this most important study.

Since May 2011, the Value of Presenting team has undertaken the most comprehensive study ever on performing arts presentation in Canada. This project examines the multifaceted benefits and impact of performing arts in Canada through surveying presenters and the Canadian public, in-depth interviews and face-to-face dialogue with the presenting field. Perspectives have been gathered from fields including social services, health and immigration where arts are used as a means to another end.

This presentation will highlight key findings and insights that can underpin charting a way forward for the presenting sector as a whole.
