The BC Arts Council is accepting applications for several project-assistance funding programs until Monday, April 3, 2017.

BC artists, arts organizations, band councils, friendship centres and not-for-profit community groups may be eligible to apply to one of the following grant programs:

  • Arts-Based Community Development – assists with projects that create new work, produce events and/or develop skills, resource materials or transfer knowledge.
  • Leon and Thea Koerner Award – supports BC charitable arts and social service organizations that collaborate on projects that develop lasting social benefits to communities by offering up to three awards of at least $25,000 each.
  • Touring Initiatives – supports B.C. artists and arts organizations undertaking touring activities outside the province that lead to professional opportunities.
  • Professional Development – assists professional artists and arts administrators with activities linked to the next stage of their professional development.

The Government of British Columbia is investing approximately $60 million in arts and culture in 2017-18. The BC Arts Council draws upon the expertise of British Columbia’s arts and culture community to provide an independent peer-review adjudication process.
