Celebrating Dedication and Creativity: Joe Boyd Receives the 2025 Volunteerism in the Arts Award
/We are thrilled to share that Joe Boyd, a long-time and deeply dedicated volunteer at Still Moon Arts Society, has been selected as the recipient of the 2025 Volunteerism in the Arts Award!
Nominated by Carmen Rosen, Artistic Director of Still Moon Arts Society, Joe truly embodies the spirit of dedication, creativity, and community engagement that this award celebrates.
For over five years, Joe has been at the heart of Still Moon’s community art initiatives—arriving first, leaving last, and showing up in every kind of weather to help bring large-scale eco-art projects to life. His contributions include building the Beaver Pondering Lodging living willow sculpture, constructing a cob garden shed, and, most recently, dedicating countless hours to the Salmon Stream Mosaic.
Beyond his hands-on artistry, Joe also serves as a board member and treasurer, strengthening the Still Moon community with steady leadership, generosity, and heart.
We’re so proud to see Joe’s hard work and spirit recognized through this well-deserved honour.
Congratulations, Joe—and thank you for all you do to help your community shine!
The award is administered by BC Alliance for Arts + Culture and Vancouver Foundation, and was founded by the organizing committee at the Celebrate Volunteerism Conference.
