The Honourable Mélanie Joly, Minister of Canadian Heritage, recently announced a new independent advisory committee to lead the selection process for the appointments and make recommendations of qualified candidates to the Minister. This independent, non-partisan committee is made up of experts in broadcasting and digital technology, representatives of cultural sectors from across Canada, Indigenous Peoples, official-language communities and youth.
CBC/Radio-Canada specifically seeks representatives who will reflect Canada’s diversity and promote gender equality across the leadership of federal institutions.
