The Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture invites you to share your ideas, stories and experiences about Chinese history and culture, both past and present, in BC, to help in the design, creation and content that will be the foundation of this museum experience.

The Province of British Columbia and the City of Vancouver are working together to have Vancouver’s Chinatown designated a United Nations Education, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) World Heritage site. As part of this, the Province and the City have also committed to establishing a Chinese Canadian Museum. You can read the B.C. Government news release on the commitment to establish a Chinese Canadian museum.

You can provide feedback by:

  • Attending community meetings taking place in January 2019. This include sessions in Kamloops (January 19), Nanaimo (January 25) and Victoria (January 26).

  • Responding online to additional questions to coincide with the community meeting process. Feedback should be submitted by February 8 at 4:30 p.m.

Feedback will be summarized and used as input into establishing a Chinese Canadian Museum.
