Cultural Infrastructure Grant: Financial support for costs related to pre-planning, feasibility assessments, acquisition, renovation and development of cultural spaces.

Deadline: 4:30pm, Thursday, June 30, 2011

The Cultural Infrastructure Grant Program, created as part of the 2008 - 2023 Cultural Facilities Priorities Plan, offers increased levels of support for a wide variety of projects related to cultural spaces. From pre-planning and feasibility studies to acquisition, renovation and development of cultural spaces, grants of up to $35,000 for planning and $150,000 for capital projects are available.

Vancouver-based, non-profit cultural organizations may apply. If the application is for an existing space, that space must be owned by the organization, or secured through a long term lease (minimum 10 years which may include renewable periods totaling 10 years).

The 2009 and 2010 awards were extremely competitive and we are anticipating the same for 2011. For a summary of past grant recipients and their projects, please see the website below.

Organizations considering applying to the Cultural Infrastructure Grant are advised to contact a staff member well in advance of the deadline to discuss their project. For Guidelines and Application materials and a contact email address, please see the website below.
