New Marketing and Communications Director At Firehall

Gabriela De Lucca has joined the Firehall Arts Centre and the Dancing on the Edge Festival as Director of Marketing and Communications.

“We are pleased to welcome Gabriela to our team,” stated artistic producer Donna Spencer, “this will be a great opportunity to create a stronger Firehall and Dancing on the Edge Festival from the inside out.  We are very excited about having an in-house marketing and communications director for both organizations, and Gabriela is the perfect fit.   She will be a great assistance in helping us share information with the community about the many productions, presentations and projects both societies undertake.”

“The Firehall thanks Bridge Communications for their knowledge and commitment to the Centre over the past seven years” added Ms. Spencer.  In acknowledging their support, she said “working with Marlie Oden and Bonnie Allen at Bridge was truly a delight and we look forward to seeing them in our audiences in the future.  Their commitment to the Vancouver theatre and arts community is immeasurable”.

Ms.  De Lucca joins the Firehall after a stint in Ontario working for AdFilms Ltd, a media representative for independent Canadian cinemas as their Manager, Marketing and Promotions. The opportunity to work with such a respected and vibrant organization as well as her love for the arts and Vancouver, drew her back to Vancouver.

Prior to her move to Ontario, Gabriela was the publicist for Vancouver’s Headlines Theatre Company and also worked with the 2009 PuSh International Performing Arts Festival.

The creation of this new position has been supported through the British Columbia Capacity and Sustainability program and has been created to assist the Society(s) in increasing their earned revenues from box office sales and ancillary activities.
