SPAM I Am? 
A workshop on email best practices in advance of the Canadian Anti-Spam Legislation 

The Canadian Anti-Spam Legislation is coming into full effect in July, 2014 and its introduction has left many arts groups with questions about how they can use their email lists for marketing, outreach and donor development. Register now for this Alliance workshop to ensure you're fully prepared!

Date & Time: Tuesday, May 13, 2014 / 9:30 - 11:00 a.m.

Venue: Alliance boardroom, 100-938 Howe Street, Vancouver. 

Cost: Alliance members $45 / non-members $75 (plus 5% GST)

Facilitators: This workshop, led by Emira Mears, principal and lead strategist at Raised Eyebrow, and Martha Rans, lawyer and founder of the Artists' Legal Outreach, will give you the tools you need to feel confident going forward. 

Workshop Details: The workshop will include:

  • Best practices for email list management and segmentation;
  • Concrete examples of the dos and don’ts of email list management;
  • Strategies for making the most of your supporter contacts for effective outreach and engagement;
  • Examples of Privacy Policies and list messaging to ensure you are in compliance with the new CASL.
