Falk works in ceramics, painting, and sculpture, using themes and objects from everyday life. She is a recipient of the Order of Canada, the Order of British Columbia, and the Governor General’s Award in Visual Arts.

Vancouver’s first-ever Tourism Master Plan will identify, innovate and articulate potential products, amenities, programming and experiences – along with corresponding policies and protocols – that will guide the long-term, sustainable planning and design of Vancouver and its neighbourhoods as tourism destinations. The plan is an initiative of Tourism Vancouver, the City of Vancouver, Vancouver Economic Commission and the Vancouver Convention Centre.

The winning books will be exhibited in Germany at the Frankfurt and Leipzig Book Fairs; in Japan, at the Canadian Embassy in Tokyo, in conjunction with the Tokyo International Book Fair; and, in Canada, in nine provinces. Exhibition venues will be posted on the Alcuin Society website. The books will also be entered in the international book design competition in Leipzig, Germany in February 2014.
