British Columbia's participation in the fifth annual Culture Days will kick off with a free public celebration on Thursday, September 25 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Centre Stage at Surrey City Hall.
With Bard on the Beach’s Christopher Gaze as master of ceremonies, the day’s events will include a poetry reading by 2014 Culture Days Ambassador Rawle Iam James, and entertainment by Spirit of the West’s John Mann and country singer Lisa Brokop.

After two years of consultation and review, the changes to our name and constitution were adopted by the Alliance’s membership at our AGM in June, and officially approved by BC Registry Services in August. The expanded mandate reflects the current scope of the Alliance’s impact as a voice for arts and culture across the province.
