Job Description:

The Education Outreach Project Coordinator will work alongside senior staff to develop educational materials to support public participation in our activities, participate in promotions and public outreach, help coordinate, schedule and manage events, and assist during group meet-ups.

Responsibilities:

The Education Outreach Program Coordinator will assist senior staff with:
● Content creation and distribution of promotional materials via social media channels;
● Communications, project management and relationship building
● Assist in the production and promotion of events
● Data collection and reporting;
● Collaborating with TOA senior staff to research and create auxiliary materials

Qualifications:

• Candidates for this position have an interest in climate and environmental issues as well as experience or interest in public programming and education
• Combines broad and infectious curiosity with the patience to ‘deep-dive’ into topics
• Able to take initiative in developing, proposing and adapting ideas
• Enthusiasm for event creation and interaction with the public
• Excellent time-management skills
• Good written and spoken communication skills in English. Additional languages are an asset;
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Google suite
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Interest/experience in textile arts, design, process-led performance creation, community-engaged creation is an asset
• Interest/experience in digital content creation is an asset
• Must be Canadian residents, permanent residents or have refugee status;
• Must have Social Insurance Number
• Be between 16 and 30 years of age
