Job Description:

Canada Music Academy is seeking passionate and reliable music teachers to join our growing team. As a Private Music Teacher, you will teach one-on-one lessons from your own private studio or optionally, from students' homes. As a teacher with the Canada Music Academy, you’ll become part of a supportive community of music educators while enjoying the flexibility to build a schedule that works for you. We provide a steady stream of student referrals, administrative support, scheduling assistance, and the opportunity to grow your teaching practice with one of Canada's most respected music education organizations.

Responsibilities:

- Teach engaging, one-on-one private music lessons.
- Develop lesson plans tailored to each student's goals, interests, and abilities.
- Encourage consistent progress while making lessons enjoyable and motivating.
- Maintain professional communication with students, parents, and the Academy.
- Keep accurate attendance and lesson records and submit via our teacher portal
- Prepare students for recitals, Royal Conservatory exams, auditions, or personal goals when appropriate.

Qualifications:

- Strong proficiency on your primary instrument(s) or voice.
- A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Music (or equivalent) is required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable, organized, and professional.
- A suitable home teaching space for private lessons is preferred but not required if willing to travel to students' homes.
- Ability to pass a background check where required.
