Bonsor Recreation Complex is seeking a dedicated and passionate Piano Instructor to join our Long-Term Music Program. In this role you will work with pianists of all ages (6+yrs) formulating your own course syllabus in conjunction with students wants/needs. Lessons range from September to June.
Responsibilities:
- Teach 30 minute private lessons to students of all ages, but mostly children 6 years old and up.
- To foster a positive and engaging learning environment, where students feel encouraged and supported in their growth.
- To develop class plans that balance skill development and creativity. Ensuring student safety and well-being during class.
- Prepare students, performances, and evaluations as needed.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents and other staff members.
Qualifications:
- Previous teaching experience with young children and adults (ages 6+yrs).
- In depth knowledge of the Royal Conservatory of Music syllabus for students wishing to take exams in the future.
- Ability to work effectively with children and adults to create a positive, inclusive atmosphere.
- Commitment to teaching on Saturday evenings from 3:40pm-8:50pm OR Sunday mornings from 8:30am-12:30pm. (2 openings available).
- Current First Aid and CPR C certification.
- Must be 19 years of age or older.

Remuneration:
Wage - $45.18 per hour plus 4% in lieu of benefits.
