Job Description:
We are seeking a Fine Art Logistics Coordinator to join our small, active team. This position combines client service, project coordination, and practical knowledge of fine art handling and logistics. The ideal candidate is highly organized, communicates clearly, and has hands-on experience working with art and fine art services. Our work supports artists, galleries, museums, auction houses, collectors, and other clients, with projects ranging from local installations and transport to regional, national, and international shipping and logistics.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare quotes and estimates for a range of fine art services, including shipping and transportation, storage, installation, crating, packing, and framing.
• Communicate directly with clients to understand project requirements, develop scopes of work, provide estimates, coordinate logistics, and respond to questions throughout a project.
• Coordinate fine art projects from initial inquiry through scheduling, delivery, installation, and completion.
• Schedule and organize art handlers, installers, drivers, and other staff according to project requirements.
• Coordinate transportation and shipping locally, regionally, nationally, and internationally including timelines, routing, documentation, and communication with clients and service providers.
• Work closely with the broader team to anticipate project needs, solve logistical challenges, and keep multiple projects moving efficiently.
• Maintain accurate project records, schedules, quotes, work orders, and other documentation.
• Apply practical knowledge of art handling, packing, installation, storage, transportation, and related services when planning and quoting work.
• Support day-to-day operations as part of a small team, shifting between projects and priorities as needed.
Qualifications:
• Hands-on experience in fine art services, including one or more of the following: art handling, installation, packing, crating, transportation, storage, framing, or related work.
• Strong organizational and project-management skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple projects, schedules, people, and deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and confidence working directly with clients.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to develop accurate scopes, estimates, and project documentation.
• Practical understanding of the care, handling, and logistical requirements of artworks and cultural objects.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a small, active team and independently when required.
• Knowledge of and experience with fine art, galleries, museums, collections, or related cultural contexts is preferred.
• University degree preferred, particularly in Fine Art, Art History, Museum Studies, Transport Logistics or a related field. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
This is a hands-on, detail-oriented role for someone who understands both the practical realities of moving and installing art and the communication and coordination required to deliver excellent service to clients.

Remuneration:
$68,000 - $77,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications; This salary is based on a standard full-time work week (40 hours per week); Annual paid holiday is included and extended health benefits will be offered after a probationary period.
