APTPOP's Poetry Floodlight is celebrating its 50th session with a night that shines a floodlight on the creative voices that make our community so vibrant! We’re inviting poets, musicians, singers, storytellers, and performance artists of all kinds to share their work in a supportive and inclusive environment. Whether you’re a seasoned performer or stepping up to the mic for the first time, this is your moment to be heard and celebrated.

What we’re looking for:

  • Poets (spoken word, page, experimental, or lyrical)

  • Musicians and singers (acoustic, a cappella, or small sets welcome; if you have tech requirements, please include this in your message)

  • Storytellers and short story readings

  • Performance artists

About the event:
The APTPOP Floodlight is a beloved community gathering blending poetry, music, and art in an atmosphere of openness and connection. Hosted by Arrieta Art Studio, a queer-friendly, community-based creative space, the evening includes refreshments by donation, art on display, and a lineup that celebrates both emerging and established voices.

HOW TO APPLY:
Send an example of your work and an expression of interest to @aptpop on Instagram or email aptpopup@gmail.com. Include a short bio or any other relevant details that would be helpful for curators. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, and performers will be contacted as they are received.

FEES/COMPENSATION:
There are no fees to apply or exhibit. Artists are welcome to bring merch to sell.
