About 2025 AIMAE

We invite artists from around the globe to showcase their creativity in our upcoming juried exhibition. Connect with an international community, and compete for a range of prizes celebrating artistic excellence.

Mail your artworks to us and we will frame them!

This year’s theme is “Your Aesthetics”.
Share your go-to aesthetic themes with us. What’s your wallpaper? Which T-shirt prints are you drawn to? Floral? Cottagecore? Cyberpunk? Vaporwave? or.. Angles?

*Submissions must be no bigger than 8" x 10" or 10" x 8" and must be unframed.
*Substrates can be no deeper than 4mm deep - anything deeper will not fit our frames and will be returned without a refund.
*If you submit smaller artwork, you must include a mat that has an outside dimension of 8” x 10” to fit our frames. Larger artwork will not be permitted

About the FCA

The Federation of Canadian Artists (FCA) is a registered charity founded in 1941 by professional Canadian working artists including Group of Seven luminaries Lawren Harris, Arthur Lismer, and A.Y. Jackson. The first National Executive Council was led by Andre Bieler, and Lawren Harris was the BC region’s first Chairman. Other notable founding members included Emily Carr and the Honorable Mark Kearley.

Fees/Compensation:

ENTRY FEES are non-refundable and accepted in Canadian dollars only.

FCA MEMBERS: $25.00 for your submission and first submitted artwork. Further submissions are $20.00 per artwork.
NON-MEMBERS: $30.00 for your submission and first submitted artwork. Further submissions are $25.00 per artwork.

Artists can submit up to ten (10) artworks for consideration. If successful at jury, a
minimum of one (1) artwork per artist will be exhibited.

AWARDS

First Place: $1,000 CA
Second Place: $500 CA
Third Place: $300 CA
3 x Honourable Mention Awards - $100 CA each
People's Choice: 5% Discount on Selected Federation Academy Courses and Programs

COMMISSION RATE

FCA MEMBERS: 65% to artist, 35% to Federation
NON-MEMBERS: 50% to artist, 50% to Federation
