Are you an early-career arts worker from an immigrant or refugee background eager to shape the future of arts leadership in BC?
The Blackout Art Society is now accepting applications for paid trainee positions as part of a three-month mentorship and professional development initiative.
What You’ll Gain:
• Hands-on experience in producing, programming, and community engagement
• Personalized mentorship
• Training in equitable leadership, grant writing, Indigenous protocols, and public outreach
• A $20/hour wage, working part-time (15 hours/week) over 10 weeks
We’re Looking For:
• Immigrant, refugee, or Indigenous-identifying individuals based in British Columbia
• Early-career arts workers (e.g., producers, curators, arts administrators, community organizers)
• A passion for equity, collaboration, and cultural storytelling
• Commitment to learning and contributing to a team environment
Position Starts: November 15, 2025
Location:
Placements will be based in North Vancouver, BC, with some hybrid/remote flexibility.
