Call for Artists Description:
Art Out Side is a multidisciplinary arts festival transforming Port Moody this summer. Arts will fill the streets, from waterfronts to commercial hubs, alleyways to park benches, and secret locations. This new city-wide arts festival brings together bold artistic voices creating unforgettable experiences in unexpected spaces.
We invite artists of all disciplines to propose works that are immersive, engaging, and push beyond traditional formats— visual and media arts, performance, poetry, sound, interactive installations, film, sculpture, dance, and all creative forms.
What We’re Looking For:
- Solo or group-led projects that transform public space. Curated works will be scheduled for a one-day or one-night showcase at one of our festival sites.
- Temporary installations of short or longer duration (e.g., week-long sculptures or multi-day experiences) may be considered with a clear proposal.
- Large-scale arts such as a powerful activation to fill a soccer field—think mass movement, participatory art, immersive environments, flashmob or collective performance
- Lead muralists to help with design, planning and lead projects at pre-approved sites (teams welcome)
- Buskers, visual artists and roaming performers—chalk artists, pop-up studios, artist table, musicians, dancers, magicians, mime artists, and more—to animate designated festival areas. These participants may collect tips or voluntary contributions during their set times.

Fees/Compensation:
We support artists - artist fees will be in line with industry standards. Approved projects will receive payment that will range from honorarium to industry standards. Please note: support for materials and equipment will be considered.
