Call for Artists Description:

Still Moon Arts Society invites artists, musicians, performers, and interdisciplinary creators to bring their talents to the Renfrew Ravine Moon Festival. For over 20 years, this vibrant, much-loved celebration has welcomed over 5,000 visitors from across Metro Vancouver to honour the harvest moon, Still Creek watershed, community, art and the rich and diverse cultural traditions of Renfrew-Collingwood. The festival features three weeks of small events and workshops, followed by a final day that features three large events:
Harvest Fair with live music and performances
Twilight Lantern Procession
Streamside Lanterns, an illuminated art installation featuring enchanting live music, set against a backdrop of towering trees and the flowing waters of Still Creek.

This year, the final festival day will be Saturday, October 4.

How to Apply:

We invite local artists and performers – from emerging to established artists – to learn more and apply by Sunday, May 25th, 2025 by visiting https://stillmoonarts.ca/moon-fest.

We will host an online Q&A session on May 15th from 6 PM to 7 PM.

Fees/Compensation:

All selected applicationts will be paid. Artist and performer compensation is based on factors like the scale of the work, the number of performers/members in a group, performance set duration and self-described amateur, emerging or professional artist status, in line with fee recommendations published by groups like CADAC (artists), CADA (dance), etc.

As a community festival, artist and performer compensation depends in part on funding and our budget is usually confirmed in mid- to late-summer. We aim to be as transparent as possible and will inform selected artists on their expected artist fees as early as possible.
