Call for Artists Description:

Arts New West is inviting groups of artists (2 or more) to apply for collaborative exhibition opportunities at the Anvil Community Gallery.

We are looking for bold, collaborative proposals where artists work together to create a cohesive exhibition around a shared theme, culture, story, or style. This is not a group show of individual works—your proposal must reflect a true artistic collaboration, including new work created specifically for this exhibition.

This is a unique opportunity to push creative boundaries, explore new ways of working, and engage with the community. Exhibiting artists may also propose community programming (such as artist talks, demos, or workshops) to accompany their exhibition.
Eligibility

Proposals must include two or more artists collaborating on a shared exhibition concept.
At least one artist must live or work in New Westminster.
All exhibited work must be original and created specifically for this collaborative show.
Artists may access the Gallery at Queen’s Park studio space (based on availability) to co-create and prepare for the exhibition.

We encourage applications from artists of all backgrounds, disciplines, and stages of their careers. Let this be an opportunity to challenge yourself creatively, build new partnerships, and share your unique perspective with the public.
