Call for Artists: New Neighbourhood Park — Fraser Heights (Lyncean Drive)
/ORGANIZATION: City of Surrey
DEADLINE: June 15, 2026
WEBSITE: City of Surrey Public Art Calls
CALL FOR ARTISTS:
The City of Surrey invites Expressions of Interest from professional artists to create a free-standing artwork, or series of artworks, for a new neighbourhood park in the Fraser Heights area of Surrey.
Currently referred to as 27D Park, this future green space is located on Lyncean Drive and will receive a formal name through the City’s park naming process. When complete, the park will include a basketball half court, playground, outdoor fitness gym, fenced off-leash dog area, and a multi-use lawn space. A riparian protection and enhancement zone will also support biodiversity around a creek that runs through the site.
The artwork is envisioned as something integrated into the landscape—subtle, site-responsive work that creates moments of discovery, quiet interruption, or surprise within the park environment.
