CALL FOR ARTISTS:
The District of West Vancouver invites artists or artist teams to design and integrate site-specific public art at the Place for Sport in West Vancouver, BC.

This opportunity is open to artists or artist teams who demonstrate the following attributes:
— Reside in British Columbia.
— Have an understanding of the vision and themes as stated in the Call to Artists.
— Have the skills and experience required to manage all phases of implementation, from design to installation.
— Can meet the deadlines and stay within the approved budget.

Project: A proposal for either an art mural or integrated art installation is being requested for Place for Sport located at 1750 Mathers Avenue at the West Vancouver Secondary School site. As part of the redevelopment of the track and field track, an art element will be incorporated into a wall at the sports field. All proposed art components must be constructed with durable materials, be safe for the public, and consider long-term maintenance and longevity in the design.

FEES/COMPENSATION:
Category A: Art Mural — $30,000 maximum
Category B: Fabricated Wall Installation — $150,000 maximum
