Elizabeth and Marcel Bergmann, internationally renowned duo-pianists and currently co-artistic directors of the Rose Gellert Hall Concert series at the Langley Community Music School, have been named associate directors of White Rock Concerts.
The Bergmanns will join artistic director George Zukerman, who has held the post for 58 years since the organization was founded in 1956. The Bergmanns will serve as associate artistic directors for the current season and for the 2015-16 season which will be Mr. Zukerman’s final year at the helm of White Rock Concerts. They will assume full artistic direction of the concert series in the season 2016-17.
"I have known of the Bergmanns’ work in our community for many years, and it is significant to recognize that the artistic direction of White Rock Concerts will remain in the hands of active and renowned international performers," said White Rock Concerts vice-president Susan Olsen.
