Your Alliance for Arts + Culture’s 2016 Winter Workshop Series includes guidance on making the transition to the new Societies Act, help with writing an effective Community Gaming Grant application, and an introduction to strategic planning. 

Alliance workshops address topics of importance to all arts and culture organizations, presented by experts in their fields. The 2016 Winter Workshop Series includes:

The New Societies Act: What You Need To Know: Lawyer Martha Rans of Artists’ Legal Outreach (ALO) and Law For Nonprofits (LFNP) familiarizes nonprofit organizations with the changes to the Societies Act and offers guidance on effectively making the transition.

Navigating Your Gaming Grant Application: Alliance for Arts + Culture Executive Director Rob Gloor will guide you through the particular requirements of the Community Gaming Grants program, along with valuable grant writing basics applicable to all funding programs.

Location: All workshops take place in the Alliance boardroom at 100-938 Howe Street, Vancouver. 

Costs: Alliance Members $39 / Non-Members $79 (plus 5% GST) per workshop.

Registration: Pre-registration and payment is required for all workshops. We accept the following payment methods:

  • Online by VISA, MasterCard, or AMEX
  • Cheque (payable to Alliance for Arts + Culture) 
  • Cash (in-person only at our Vancouver office, 100-938 Howe Street)

Register online and pay by credit card at the checkout. If paying by cash or cheque, call our office at 604.681.3535.

Cancellation: Cancellation notice of 48 hours is required to obtain a full refund. We reserve the right to cancel workshops if minimum registration numbers are not met.
