Share Your Highlights From BC Culture Days 2016

Another successful Culture Days weekend has come to pass and BC Culture Days is inviting anyone who participated as a presenter, volunteer, or attendee to share their feedback and stories.

BC Culture Days was officially proclaimed at provincial ceremonies in Westbank First Nation on September 30 and continued over the weekend with 658 activities presented in 60 communities across the province. A wide variety of activities across disciplines took place, ranging from a “Stories from the Past” art, music, and writing workshop at the Vernon Community Arts Centre, a Gatsby-themed night of entertainment at the Orpheum Theatre in Vancouver, live street art painting at the Nelson and District Youth Centre, and a Roots N’ Blues Fall Fest in Mission to a community backdrop felting project for the Youth Valley Fiddlers in Smithers, a hoop dancing lesson with the Ki-Low-Na Friendship Society,  and an African drumming workshop hosted by the Victoria African and Caribbean Cultural Society.

Share your event highlights and memorable moments with Culture Days at Photos and videos are also welcome: tag @bcculturedays on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram.

Those who participated are invited to complete a Culture Days Survey by October 24. Feedback helps Culture Days to better plan for the future and offers important statistical information about arts and cultural engagement in our communities.
