Ontario Premier Kathleen Wynne and Tourism, Culture and Sport Minister Eleanor McMahon announced August 29 that funding to the Ontario Arts Council (OAC) will grow to $80 million by 2020-21. This will be accomplished by adding $20 million to the budget, growing funding to the OAC by 30%.

“When we invest in the Ontario Arts Council, we are investing in much more than our thriving arts sector,” Wynne said Tuesday. “We are investing in our young people, our communities, and our capacity to build a more creative, more inclusive, more innovative society.”
