The following information is excerpted from a communication issued by Art for Social Change!
The national research project, Art for Social Change! (ASC!), is hosting The Art of Changing the World (ACW) 2017 November 3-5 in Ottawa. Designed for dialogue and exchange, this gathering will provide useful skills, knowledge, and perspectives on a wide range of topics – from emerging practices, facilitation, evaluation, ethics, and new forms of partnerships, to current arts-infused research and funding opportunities/policies.
ASC! invites you to join other change makers, artists, community-engaged practitioners, and scholars to actively participate in cross-sector dialogue and action-oriented planning about the present and future of this vibrant and fast-growing field of art for social change (ASC) practice in Canada. The workshops, installations and hands-on learning are all designed to create space for exchange and creative exploration across disciplinary boundaries, as well as to provide opportunities for networking and relationship building.
The program, registration, and other details can be found at https://https://icasc.ca/2017-acw-gathering. Early bird registration ends September 15. Also, stay tuned for the latest and share with others on our ACW 2017 Facebook event page.
