The Sunshine Coast Arts Council presented its 2018 awards in Sechelt on October 25, honouring local artists and recognizing community leadership in the arts.
The winners included:
violinist Hanna Crudele, who received the Louise Baril Memorial Music Award;
photographer, printmaker and fibre artist Eugenia Stephenson, who received the Anne and Philip Klein Visual Arts Award;
ceramicist, carpenter and musician Timothy Niebergall, who was recipient of the Gillian Lowndes Award, “given to an artist for long-standing achievement, innovation and recent growth in their field”; and
community organizer and volunteer Linda Williams, who received the Frances Wasserlein Community Leadership in Arts and Culture Award
