BC Government Seeks Feedback to Develop Accessibility Legislation

Province-wide consultations on the development of accessibility legislation will run until November 29, 2019. The feedback gathered by the provincial government will help inform new accessibility legislation that will be fundamental to bringing about a culture shift towards greater accessibility in communities across the province.

The government is seeking perspectives to help develop laws, standards and policies to support people with disabilities to live with dignity, whether in the workplace, during recreation, when visiting public buildings, or travelling through BC.

The consultation offers several ways for you to participate:

  • Friday, October 18, 2019 – Comox

  • Saturday, November 2, 2019 – Vancouver

  • Tuesday, November 12, 2019 – Kamloops

  • Wednesday, November 13, 2019 – Penticton

  • Thursday, November 14, 2019 – Nelson
