Each year, BC Culture Days invites artists from around the province to participate in their artist ambassador program. Successful artists are awarded a $1,000 to present a Culture Days activity during the Culture Days weekend and act as a spokesperson in their community. This year, it is introducing an exciting new component to its ambassador program: a three-month mentorship with an established senior artist supported by C*SARN, a resource network created to help Canada’s senior professional artists maintain creative and healthy lives.

Senior artists in BC with a minimum of 20 years of professional experience are invited to apply to C*SARN for this opportunity. Mentors will be matched with an emerging artist ambassador in their arts discipline, working with them to develop their activity for the Culture Days weekend (Sept. 27-29, 2019). Mentors will be awarded $900 for a 3-month period of 7 hours/month (July 1-September 30).

The online application form or downloadable form can be found here. Artists interested in mentoring BC Culture Days ambassadors should apply before June 1, 2019.
