On June 1, members of Surrey arts organizations are invited to attend the Surrey Arts Organizations Round Table, an event hosted by the Arts Council of Surrey designed as “a unique opportunity to meet and converse with the City of Surrey’s arts and cultural leaders in one place.” The event will take place at the Newton Cultural Centre (NCC).

A meet-and-greet will take place at 12:00 p.m., followed by panel discussion from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m., followed by a Q&A. The panel will feature City of Surrey staff members including manager of culture Liane Davidson, cultural development coordinator Todd Ayotte, and performing arts manager Kent Gallie. Discussion will centre around focus on Surrey’s Strategic Plan for Parks, Recreation and Culture, as well as the barriers organizations face in qualifying for and securing grant funding from the BC Arts Council and Canada Council.

To register for this free event, contact the Arts Council of Surrey by phone (604 594 2700), email (info@artscouncilofsurrey.ca), or register in person at the NCC (13530 72nd Ave., Surrey).
