On October 20 at 2:00 p.m., join artist Naomi Gracechild in Black Artists Matter, an online conversation and call to action with Khari Wendell McClelland, Jason Bempong, Jacky A. Yenga and Krystal Paraboo, four Black arts leaders from Metro Vancouver, to explore commitments that organizations can make to become actively anti-racist. It’s time to directly address anti-Blackness in our sector and progress from "diversity and inclusion" towards "relationship and justice". Registration is free and open to everyone.

This conversation will take place live on YouTube. Registration isn’t necessary, but we encourage you to register in advance, so we have a sense of who will be joining us. If you register, we’ll send you an email reminder before the event. This event is free to attend, but we highly encourage participants to donate to BIPOC-CA, a creative association by and for BIPOC artists. Send a copy of your receipt to Joyce Wan at joyce@allianceforarts.com and we’ll mail you a free Black Artists Matter button designed by Naomi Gracechild!

This event will have ASL interpretation.
