The Gabriola Arts Council has announced that Carol Fergusson has accepted the position of its executive director.

Fergusson is well connected to the Gabriola arts community through her work as a gallerist, her three years curating the Tour Central Preview Gallery for the Studio Tour, and various other roles she has played for GAC, as well as curating independent art shows. She was also an assistant gallery director for artist Roy Henry Vickers at his Eagle’s Moon Gallery in Victoria.

A few short years later, with a new set of hats to wear, Carol held positions from designer to Vice President for various apparel companies in Vancouver and Toronto. Creating and executing dynamic events is also one of her passions.

GAC Board Member Mary Holdgrafer says, “We are confident that she will capably steer GAC through this period of transition, while bringing to us new ideas and enthusiasm. We look forward to working with her.”
