221A Launches Tenant Applications for New Artist Housing

221A Artist Housing Society has launched the application process for 30 units of rental housing located at 187 E 3rd in Mount Pleasant. The building is owned by the City of Vancouver and operated by 221A Artist Housing Society in collaboration with the Community Land Trust. The rental units are targeted towards low-to-moderate income artists and their families, with rental rates set to be no more than 30% of gross household income. Selected residents will also have access to an associated shared production space located within the building, also operated by 221A.

Eligibility requirements include being a practicing artist and meeting the housing income limits. Applications are due October 15, 2021, with an anticipated move-in date of December 1, 2021.
