Kidd Pivot tours internationally with critically acclaimed works such as Betroffenheit and Revisor (both co-created with playwright Jonathon Young), The Tempest Replica, Dark Matters, Lost Action, and The You Show. Since 2015, Kidd Pivot has measured its touring carbon footprint and offset over 1000 tonnes of CO2e (carbon dioxide equivalent), enabling Kidd Pivot to be one of the first dance companies to tour carbon neutral.

Job Description:

Kidd Pivot, Vancouver’s world renowned dance theatre company is looking for a Lighting Director, with experience lighting dance, for our upcoming tour to Seoul, Taipei and Shanghai. Approx tour dates are from May 23rd to June 15th. Knowledge transfer/ prep time might be required.

Responsibilities:

Applicants must be comfortable leading a crew to hang and focus instruments, often working with a translator. Applicants must also have experience programming on a grandMA2.

Qualifications:

Applicants must have experience lighting dance, touring as a lighting director with large scale international productions, have a valid passport (valid for at least 6 months past the return date) and be able to freely travel to China, Taiwan and South Korea. Applicants must feel comfortable with and have experience programming on a grandMA2.
