Job Description:

Youtheatre is looking for a qualified Stage Manager to work on our next production COM·PLIC·IT being performed at Studio 16, November 9th-15th.

Responsibilities:

- Coordinate and manage all rehearsals and performance schedules.
- Maintain the production prompt book, including cues, and production notes.
- Call lighting, sound, projection, and stage cues during performances.
- Ensure all performances begin and conclude on schedule.
- Conduct pre-show and post-show checks with cast and crew.
- Coordinate scene changes, props, set pieces, and backstage operations.
- Communicate production updates between directors, designers, performers, and technical staff
- Prepare and distribute rehearsal reports and performance reports.
- Track attendance and communicate scheduling changes.
- Oversee the care and organization of props, costumes, and backstage equipment.
- Assist with load-in, technical rehearsals, strike, and load-out.
- Foster a professional, collaborative, and positive backstage environment

Qualifications:

- Previous experience as a Stage Manager or Assistant Stage Manager in theatre or live events.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to remain calm and make decisions under pressure.
- Knowledge of theatre production processes and backstage operations.
- Experience calling technical cues
- Flexible schedule, including evenings, and weekends.
