Job Description:

MPMG is seeking a Marketing Assistant to join our team.

The position will work with a wide variety of arts organizations across the country, supporting MPMG staff in the areas of media buying + planning, market + audience research, and general marketing + promotions. Areas of work will include tracking media buys, ad trafficking, report writing, copywriting, and associated marketing needs.

This is a remote part-time role with occasional in-person days at MPMG’s co-working space.

Candidates should be based in the Lower Mainland. Occasional evening and weekend work required.

20 hours per week. Some Flexibility Available in Schedule.

Responsibilities:

- Represent MPMG in a professional and confident manner in both written and verbal communications
- Support MPMG Managers in conceiving, planning + executing paid marketing strategies
- Coordinate design + trafficking of print advertising + collateral
- Prepare copy + requisite files for multimedia advertising campaigns

- Monitor campaign spending and ensure all contracts + invoices are tracked + filed
- Track client box office performance, providing analysis + forecasting throughout campaigns
- Conduct market and audience research to help inform client strategy and targeting
- Responsible for monitoring and meeting various deadlines without compromising quality of output or deliverables
- Generate reports for digital advertising + traditional marketing campaigns
- Design and distribute promotional emails, e-newsletters, and announcements on behalf of MPMG clientele
- Oversee strategic distribution of printed marketing collateral
- Provide marketing and communications support to MPMG team members, as assigned

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree or diploma in a related field of study or equivalent experience
- 2-3 Years experience working in a marketing role, ideally within an arts, entertainment, tourism, or charitable organization
- Experience in traditional + digital media planning + buying
- Excellent organizational skills and/or project management experience
- Excellent verbal + written communication skills
- Motivated self-starter, pays attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong team player
- Familiarity and comfort with a variety of software and online tools, with particular emphasis on Excel/Google Sheets and Google Analytics
- Passion and experience with the performing arts is highly valued

Remuneration:

$26,000.00 - $29,000.00 per annum, vacation pay, and medical benefits.
