CALL FOR ARTISTS:
The City of Richmond invites established and emerging artists and art educators in all disciplines to participate in the 2026 Richmond Children’s Arts Festival, taking place February 16, 2026, from 10:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m. This annual event immerses children in the world of arts and culture and celebrates community and belonging through interactive, creative experiences. Artists will receive compensation for services.

Festival organizers seek artists to facilitate workshops, lead performances or demonstrations, or create interactive exhibitions. Arts practices include visual, textile, literary, and performing arts such as dance, circus arts, theatre, storytelling, music, media arts, and multidisciplinary practices. The 2026 theme, Home & Belonging, celebrates the threads that weave community together through art, language, and cultural expression.

Submit a completed form including a description of your proposed presentation or workshop, resumé, rate or fee for services, and links to previous work (if applicable). Artists may be required to attend planning meetings, provide an artist statement, and submit a recent police information check.

FEES/COMPENSATION:
There are no fees to apply. Professional compensation rates vary depending on the length, scale, and type of performance, demonstration, or workshop.
