2026 Visual Arts Exhibition

CALL FOR ARTISTS:
The Visual Arts Exhibition program highlights the talents of local artists and promotes dialogue and cultural awareness by integrating more art into the community!
Local artists from the Metro Vancouver area, with preference given to artists based in Coquitlam, are invited to submit an application to have their two-dimensional visual artwork in the mediums of painting, drawings, photographs, collage, and prints displayed in either one of the solo exhibitions or the group exhibition. Applicants must apply to either a solo exhibition or the group exhibition; applications submitted for both will not be considered.
Group Exhibition:
September 10, 2026 – March 1, 2027 at Town Centre Park Community Centre.
Submissions to the group exhibition should represent this year’s theme of City Life, art inspired by urban living.
Solo Exhibitions:
April 6, 2026 – September 10, 2026 and September 10, 2026 – March 1, 2027 at City Hall.
The solo exhibition does not have a set theme. Selected artists are asked to present a cohesive body of artwork that is thematically similar and highlights their artistic portfolio.
HOW TO APPLY:
Applications can be completed online or submitted by mail before the deadline. Please review the Artist Information Package on the website before applying.
Once you have submitted an application, please send an email to exhibit@coquitlam.ca and include the following information:
Photos of your artwork (up to 2 for the group exhibition and 4 for the solo exhibition)
Titles
Dimensions
Descriptions
Medium
Year created
FEES/COMPENSATION:
There is no fee for submission. There will be an honorarium for accepted artists.
